I was hired as a freelance creative partner to develop a strong identity and online presence. The process included managing the timeline for the entire project and communication with an overseas development team. Deliverables included web site architecture development, wireframes and mockups for a responsive web site as well as Q/A testing. In addition, a logo refresh, along with new letterhead and a branded presentation deck were part of the re-branding project.
The sitemap was an essential tool that helped to organize the content in a meaningful way. It helped to identify which pages could use the same master templates as well as which pages required special functionality. Upon agreeing to a final sitemap with the client, a project timeline was developed to reflect these goals.
This project was planned to move forward in two waves so that the development could begin prior to all of the design being completed. Wave 1 included wireframes and mockups for the first half of the master pages. Once these deliverables were approved by both the complete and the development team, the mockups were handed over to the dev team to begin the build. Wave 2 followed the same procedure.
